Nokia 8

8Nokia 8 smartphone was launched in August 2017. The phone comes with a 5.30-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 pixels by 2560 pixels at a PPI of 554 pixels per inch. Nokia 8 price in India starts from Rs. 33,899. 

The Nokia 8 is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor and it comes with 4GB of RAM. The phone packs 64GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Nokia 8 packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

The Nokia 8 runs Android 7.1.1 and is powered by a 3090mAh non removable battery. It measures 151.50 x 73.70 x 7.90 (height x width x thickness) and weigh 160.00 grams.

The Nokia 8 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, USB OTG, 3G and 4G (with support for Band 40 used by some LTE networks in India). Sensors on the phone include Compass Magnetometer, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient light sensor, Gyroscope and Barometer.

While smartphone vendors like Apple, LG, and Samsung lately ventured in the growing space of fast charging, it has been found through a new study that the Dash Charge technology on the OnePlus 5Toutpaces the competition by offering fastest charging time. OnePlus first deployed its native fast charging technology in OnePlus 3 last year as an advancement over Qualcomm's default Quick Charge 3.0 support. The technology is claimed to achieve 60 percent or even more battery charge within 30 minutes.

Samsung debuts 512GB storage chip for smartphones

Today, Samsung has doubled down on that. Literally. The Korean company announced it's begun production of a 512GB chip, the most powerful chip the industry has ever seen, reports BusinessWire.

This chip will give upcoming flagship Samsung phones unparalleled storage capacity. They'll be able to store 130 10-minute 4K video clips. (A 64GB chip could store only 13.)

Android Oreo Go is an operating system for really cheap phones

Google wants to make sure everyone can access Android, even those who can't afford fancy phones. 

The company announced today that Android Oreo (Go Edition) will be launching alongside Android 8.1. The new operating system is optimized for entry-level smartphones — small, often prepaid phones like the Samsung Galaxy J3, the Motorola MOTO G, or Apple's iPhone SE, which can sell for less than $400.
